They require an estimated 20% less energy to construct and produce when compared to other pavement materials. Additionally, even less energy is consumed by drivers once the road is officially in use\u2014 and this is due to the smooth durability that asphalt roads provide.<\/p>\n

And only asphalt can claim that title. When constructed and designed properly, asphalt roads are able to endure a lot of wear and tear without any damage for decades.
