It’s important for all of us to do our part and take care of our environment. After all, don’t most of our road trips and long drives consist of scenic routes? What would we do without them?
What you might not know, however, is that we here at Dustin’s Driveways do our part in using 100% recyclable asphalt in paving roads, lots, and driveways.
That’s not the only thing that makes asphalt such an eco-friendly choice for paving— here are a few more awesome facts about the material:
Asphalt pavements conserve energy.
They require an estimated 20% less energy to construct and produce when compared to other pavement materials. Additionally, even less energy is consumed by drivers once the road is officially in use— and this is due to the smooth durability that asphalt roads provide.
Asphalt is THE perpetual pavement.
And only asphalt can claim that title. When constructed and designed properly, asphalt roads are able to endure a lot of wear and tear without any damage for decades. On top of that, maintenance is super simple— only the pavement’s top layer needs to be removed and replaced, which can be done virtually overnight— ultimately saving taxpayers a lot of money over time.
